How the math works
Monthly lost revenue = missed calls per month × average value × the share of missed calls that would have booked. Yearly lost revenue = monthly × 12. That is the entire formula — nothing hidden, no Answer4U figure anywhere in it, because this calculator measures your loss, not our service.
Where the starting numbers come from
The calculator opens at 150 missed calls per month, which reflects the QSR Magazine derivation for a typical restaurant (US restaurants lose an estimated $20 billion a year to missed calls; the per-restaurant figure is derived from that total and stated as a derivation, not a measured fact). Change it to your own number — most owners who check their phone logs are surprised, in either direction. The booking share opens at 50% as an editable assumption; published caller research found 82% of callers would call a competitor after an unanswered call (CallRail, 2025, as reported by oncrew.ai), which is why assuming every missed call is lost is not unreasonable — but the slider is yours to set honestly.
What this calculator deliberately does not do
- It does not ask for your email to show the result.
- It does not compare your loss against any service figure, because there is no service figure on this site.
- It does not promise that any service recovers a specific share of the loss. Recovery depends on your call patterns, your niche, and your follow-up.
What recovers the loss
Three things, in order: answering the call in the first place (the live receptionist), a human for the calls that need one (human team), and a text-back for the rare caller who still gets missed. The calculator tells you the size of the problem; a demo call shows you the answer for your business. Pricing is discussed on your demo call.
